DWG FAQ # 27, 28, 29, 30, 31

Will DRI WASH 'n GUARD® remove hard water spots?

It can, but only if the finish is relatively new, has already been treated, or the spotting hasn't set too deeply. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® is a tremendous cleaner, but it is not an abrasive rubbing compound, which often is necessary to remove severe hard water spots.

Does DRI WASH 'n GUARD® help to protect against ultraviolet (UV) radiation?

Yes, thanks to two special ingredients which help screen UV rays. But there is nothing that can totally protect a surface from exposure to the sun. Just as sunscreens cannot entirely protect the skin from burning, UV- blockers cannot fully protect painted surfaces from chemically decomposing over time.

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® remove scratches?

Yes, if they are minor, light scratches. It will eliminate the tiny "feather" scratches caused by many car wash brushes. The product does not contain any ingredients which can fill deeper, more serious scratches.

To remove light scratches, spray the scratched area with a 12" X 12" coat of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®. Place a conventional high-speed buffer, with a foam bonnet, directly against the scratched area. Turn the buffer on while holding it in position, operate at 1,500 rpm for 20 seconds without moving the buffer. Repeat once if necessary.

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied under direct sunlight or on a hot surface?

Yes, but only if the product is buffed immediately.  If DRI WASH 'n GUARD® is allowed to "bake" into the vehicle's finish, dark spots may appear beneath each sprinkle.  A garage is ideal, or a shaded area outside.

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be used to clean eyewear?

Due to the chemical composition of the product we do not recommend using DWG to clean any eyewear. Most glasses (both glass & plastic) come with a protective film which may be damaged when using the product.

DWG FAQ # 26

Will DRI WASH 'n GUARD with exclusive formula PolyGuard-3® work on boats and fiberglass?

Yes. With each application of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®, the boat will be easier to maintain, particularly against water spots.

DWG FAQ # 25

Are there other uses for DRI WASH 'n GUARD®?

DRI WASH 'n GUARD® can be effectively used on virtually any non-porous surface, from automobile paint and chrome to household appliances to jewelry. But you may want to try DRI WASH 'n GUARD® for the Home, and DRI WASH 'n GUARD® Premium Metal Polish, too.

DWG FAQ # 24

How soon can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied to a repainted vehicle?

Both the paint industry and the automobile industry generally endorse a 90-day waiting period for newly painted vehicles, during which time thinning solvents evaporate from the paint, allowing it to cure. DWG International endorses that industry standard.

DWG FAQ # 23

Is DRI WASH 'n GUARD® safe for clear coats?

Absolutely. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® has been laboratory tested on every type of paint used by the industry, from older acrylic lacquers to modern high-gloss acrylic urethane and polyurethane paints. Properly applied, DRI WASH 'n GUARD® with exclusive formula PolyGuard-3® is safe for all hard non-porous surfaces. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® should not be applied within 90 days of new clear coat.

DWG FAQ # 22

How economical is DRI WASH 'n GUARD®?

If a 32 oz. bottle of DRI WASH 'n GUARD® results in 16 cleaning/polishing jobs, you're getting a bargain at a little over $2.00 each time. Compare that with the $25-$50 cost of having your vehicle detailed. Besides the money savings, a 32 oz. bottle will save more than 2,000 gallons of water, an irreplaceable resource.

DWG FAQ # 21

Beyond its durability, how often should DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be reapplied to keep a vehicle looking really good?

To keep the incredible sense of depth and brilliance in the paint, and to keep the surface as smooth as porcelain, a monthly application is recommended. Of course, that depends on the color and condition of the paint and the weather conditions. Normally, re-apply the product every 1-3 months.

DWG FAQ # 20

How many waterless wash/polish jobs can I expect from a bottle of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®?

Using a new compact-size vehicle as an illustration, the 8 oz. AIRosol applicator should yield four polish jobs including glass. The 32-oz. refill bottle should provide about 16 applications; the 64-oz. refill about 32.

Of course, the larger the vehicle, or the worse the condition of the paint, the more DRI WASH 'n GUARD® you will use. But remember, a little goes a long way!

DWG FAQ # 19

Should DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be removed while still damp, or let it dry completely?

Normally it makes no difference, but in cases where the paint is in very poor condition-dry, rough, oxidized-it is better to remove the product immediately before moving to the next area.

DWG FAQ # 18

How heavy should the spray be?

More is not necessarily better. Spray in long sweeping motions, holding the bottle at least 12" from the surface.

DWG FAQ # 17

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® with exclusive formula PolyGuard-3® remove swirls left in the paint by other products?
Yes. But you must buff in the opposite direction of the swirl mark pattern, or in a circular motion.

DWG FAQ # 16

Is it really impossible to burn paint with a buffer when using DRI WASH 'n GUARD®? What buffer speed is best?

You'll have to try very hard. Under normal circumstances it cannot happen. The surface simply becomes too slippery and smooth to create the necessary friction (and heat) which causes paint burn.

An orbital or a variable-speed buffer at 1,500 RPM or less will do the job. Do Not Buff With The Edge Of The Pad-use the entire pad surface whenever possible. Operate the buffer using unhurried, overlapping circular motions while maintaining firm downward pressure.  Before attempting to use DRI WASH 'n GUARD® with a high-speed buffer, you should be experienced in the usage of a buffer and the differences in paint types with regards to buffer use.

DWG FAQ # 15

1969 Chevy Camaro

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied to vinyl tops?

Yes and no. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® is not intended as a vinyl cleaner, but it will clean vinyl without damage and will protect it. It is difficult, however, to remove DRI WASH 'n GUARD® from the tiny grooves in deeply grained vinyl. If it is used on vinyl, do not allow it to dry to a haze before buffing of the vinyl surface. Always test in inconspicuous area when using on leather and vinyl surfaces.

Vinyl tops and leather upholstery will look like new again with DRI WASH 'n GUARD® LEATHER & VINYL TREATMENT, which is also available from any DWG International© independent distributor.

DWG FAQ # 14

Is too-frequent use of DRI WASH 'n GUARD® harmful to the paint?

No. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® can be applied daily without harming the painted surface. The product works only as hard as necessary. On paint in excellent condition, it cleans as gently as water. On oxidized paint, DRI WASH 'n GUARD® cuts through layers of oxidation each time it is used. The more DRI WASH 'n GUARD® with exclusive formula PolyGuard-3® is used, the more brilliant and smooth the surface becomes, and even more resistant to the elements.

DWG FAQ # 13

Why shake DRI WASH 'n GUARD before each use?

Some of the product's ingredients fall out of solution and must be remixed before use. Vigorously shake the 32-oz bottle prior to filling the 8-oz. AIRosol applicator bottle, then shake it before each application of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®.

DWG FAQ # 12

Does DRI WASH 'n GUARD® contain silicones?

No.

DWG FAQ # 11

What happens if DRI WASH 'n GUARD® freezes?

DRI WASH 'n GUARD® has been subjected to repeated cold-cycle tests to -20 degrees F. with no damage to the chemical formulation. However, the bottles in which the product is packaged will become brittle and subject to breakage in sub-freezing temperatures. It is recommended that DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be stored at room temperature.

DWG FAQ # 10

If I decide to wash my car before applying DRI WASH 'n GUARD®, must I dry it, too?

A big YES here! Even a few drops of water will create problems, i.e. the polish will be difficult to remove and will probably leave streaks. Furthermore, DRI WASH 'n GUARD'S® shine and protection qualities will be greatly diminished.

DWG FAQ # 9

Can DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied over other waxes and polishes?

Yes. It will cut through any wax or polish and leave a brilliant, bonded layer of protection.

DWG FAQ # 8

Should DRI WASH 'n GUARD® be applied over paint and sealants?

Yes and no. Paint sealants are only applied to new cars, or cars whose paint is in excellent condition. If properly applied, the sealant will maintain the finish for six months or more. When the finish no longer beads water, the DRI WASH 'n GUARD® should be applied. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® should not be applied within 90 days after a fresh paint sealant.

If DRI WASH 'n GUARD® is applied over FRESH paint sealant, it is possible that the DRI WASH 'n GUARD® may be somewhat difficult to remove and cause minor streaking, usually noticeable only on darker colors. It can be applied over a fresh paint sealant without problems if a high-speed buffer is used.

DWG FAQ # 7

What are the benefits of DRI WASH 'n GUARD® on glass, and are there any precautions to its use?

There is no other product for use on glass which will give the brilliant clarity of DRI WASH 'n GUARD®. The glass will seem to disappear. The product also makes a glass surface smoother, or slippery, so that water runs off a windshield without a trace. This "slick" surface also means that insects, bird droppings and tree sap can be removed effortlessly. In winter, windshields and outside mirrors protected by DRI WASH 'n GUARD® are more easily cleared of snow and ice.

DWG FAQ # 6

How dirty is too dirty when applying Dri wash n guard?

If there is caked mud, heavy dirt, small pebbles, sand or obvious large amounts of dirt on your cars paint surface then it is better to err on the side of caution when detailing your vehicle. Use common sense and some water. Carry a small bucket and a sponge or 2 then clean the area with some soap and water, rinse repeat until clean then apply your DWG car polish over the top of that. Even if the vehicle has a fair amount of dirt on it Dri Wash can be used safely without any problems , however in using the product for over 20 years I have found I would rather save it for polishing, shining and buffing while using a small bit of soapy water in a bucket to clean the dirty areas ie behind the wheel wells etc.

DWG FAQ # 4

What is the guarantee on DRI WASH 'n GUARD®?

When used in strict compliance with its "directions for use," DRI WASH 'n GUARD® is guaranteed to perform as indicated. Upon initial use, the bottle will spray properly and the vehicle will shine more than before DRI WASH 'n GUARD was applied and water will bead on it.

Years of ongoing test evaluations, quality control assurances, and hundreds of thousands of field test cases that our satisfied customers have given DRI WASH 'n GUARD® assure its safety and effectiveness. DWG International© , however, cannot be held responsible for damage that may occur from improper use of the product.

DWG FAQ # 5

How durable is DRI WASH 'n GUARD®?

A vehicle surface protected by DRI WASH 'n GUARD® will bead water for a year or more, even on windshields which are scrubbed by wiper blades, ice scrapers, etc. When applied to paint on a new vehicle, then reapplied twice a year, the paint will not fade. Once oxidation begins, however, it cannot be stopped, only slowed. On older, extremely oxidized paint, DRI WASH 'n GUARD® may need to be applied as often as every 2-3 months, even though the paint is still protected and beading water. DRI WASH 'n GUARD® helps protect against the effects of high sun exposure, acid rain and road salt.

DWG Polyguard-1 Engine Oil treatment

PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment Discussed

DWG International’s entire product line has received recognition in the industry as a line of products that “do” what they say they’ll “do.” Every one of them in the car care line not only do a better job of cleaning and restoring the surface they’re used on, each one of them protects the surface too. Very few products in the market today can do both, making our entire line-up unique and each product one of a kind.

With the price of the average car or truck nearly doubling in the last decade most people are financing their purchase for 5, 6, and now even 7 years. Some even take out a second mortgage on their home in order just to buy a set of wheels. It’s no wonder people are falling in love with our products…they need them to help their vehicle look “good” and last longer.

One product in DWG’s quiver of products can play a major role in helping distributors and their customers protect their 5 figure investment. It is DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment.

PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment, with its exclusive formula, is a highly concentrated oil treatment that helps improve and fortify the lubricants of today. “This cutting-edge technology, found only inPolyGuard-1  Oil Treatment, does essentially for the inside of an engine what DRI WASH 'n GUARD® does for the vehicle’s painted surface. It provides superior protection,” explains DWG’s Founder, Rod Yanke. ”It is compatible with both mineral based and synthetic oils and when added to your oil it blends completely boosting your oils performance and ability.

With PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment it’s not necessary to change your oil before using it. Just add an 8oz bottle to your crankcase. Then when your vehicle is due for an oil change, add a bottle to the new oil. This is unlike regular oil treatments where you have to drain a quart of oil to add a quart of additive. Because PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment is a super concentrate in just an 8 oz bottle; it can be added to a full crankcase. Should you have a larger crankcase requiring more then 4 or 5 quarts of motor oil be sure to add enough PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment to maintain a minimum 1oz to 1 quart of oil ratio.

PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment will be even more valuable in the northern parts of the U.S. and Canada during winter months when severe weather can cause significant damage to a combustion engineWith PolyGuard-1’s “Friction Modifier Technology” feature, you can virtually eliminate dry-starts in cold weather conditions. Dry-starts, even in warm climates, can occur within 8 minutes of turning your engine off. Untreated oil can drain from the insides of your engine and cylinder walls running back into the oil pan causing a dry-start. A dry-start condition is where nearly 80% of your engines normal wear comes from. So by preventing a dry-start you can extend the life of your engine significantly.

This amazing product even provides a 30-second demonstration. Put a bottle in the engine and within 30 seconds you will hear the engine smooth and or quiet down. It is an incredible product! So now, while you’re making the outside of the vehicle look good, you can do something good for the engine too. DWG’s PolyGuard-1™ Oil Treatment will reduce wear, causing the engine to run cooler and will boost efficiency and power in anything from a classic Model A to the family’s Mini Van, from a nitrous blown dragster to a farm tractor.

K.W., California
Living in Southern CA. with all the stop and go traffic it's real important that you use an oil treatment. I have been using DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment for almost 10 years in all of our cars. With the cost of gas being so high, it's important to me to get the best fuel economy that I can and I have always noticed improved mileage in every vehicle with PolyGuard-1 in the engine.

In late December of 2003 I had to take a quick trip to Las Vegas. I needed an Oil Change before I left so I stopped at one of the fast oil change places here in Cypress. I was about 150 miles from home when the oil light came on. I stopped and checked the oil level and found that I had no oil in the engine. The oil filter wasn't on tight and all the oil leaked out. I tightened up the filter and put a bottle of the Oil Treatment in the crankshaft and drove to the next gas station. They added 3 quarts of oil and I finished my trip to Las Vegas and back home with no damage to the engine. I now get free Oil Changes for the next year.

Thanks to DWG's PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment it protected my engine from the fast oil change place. Today my car runs fine and I owe it all to DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment

F.M., Illinois
Since applying a bottle of PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment to my engine I’ve experienced an 8% increase in fuel efficiency. Being a numbers guy I quickly did the math and it’s saving me around $2 per fill-up. I change my oil every 3,000 miles so when I calculate the fuel savings and driving those miles I save about $22 per oil change. That savings more than covers the cost of the treatment. Basically the product more than pays for itself so I guess you could say I get all the engine protection I need for free! Or the more you drive, the more you'd save.

A.W., Texas
I’ve been using DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment ever since I’ve owned my current car. I use my car in my business and I’ll admit that I often drive it harder than I should. I now have 160,000 miles on it and it still starts and runs just like when it was new. And if that’s not impressive enough, I’ve actually ran it out of oil 3 times due to a leak I wasn’t aware of and I believe the only reason why it’s still running today is because I always added PolyGuard-1 each time I changed my oil. With the price of cars today DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment has saved me a lot of money. Thanks DWG.

S.V., New York
My family’s mini van now has over 200,000 miles on it and I owe it all to DWG’s PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment. My wife and I bought it new and I’m proud to say we’ve added the product to the engine at every oil change. Because of the oil treatment I get an extra 60 miles per tank compared to a business associate that drives the same van. With the price of gasoline the product pays me to use it.

Today it still runs like it’s brand new. I’ve really enjoyed the peace of mind that using the product has given me. Even in the sub-zero temperatures it starts easy and never labors. The engine runs so quiet that I often have to check to see if it’s still running.

Protect your investment

Before you read this article I want to point out that contrary to popular belief the “Big-3” auto manufacturers do believe in oil additives. Each one of them has an oil additive manufactured for them and private labeled with their name on it. One uses a graphite based additive another uses a sulfur based product. You’ll find it on the shelves in their parts departments. I understand why you might be surprised by that bit of news, we’ve never heard them promoting it have we? Heaven forbid that we should extend the life of the equipment they manufacture and sell. Have you ever looked at the corporate year end reports of these companies? If you do you will notice that their income source in replacement parts is nearly double that of their new car sales income? Interesting? Why do you think that car parts don’t seem to last as long? Some suggest that it’s by design.
Because oil technology has made great strides in recent years, the thought that motor oils of today are capable of protecting engine parts and extending engine life better than ever before is understandable. Keep in mind though that the design of today’s motor oils is still dictated by the manufacturers of today’s engines. The oil designer follows a strict set of guidelines set forth by the engine manufacturer just as it has been done for decades.

They follow those guidelines so that they can place a label on the can that says; “meets manufacturer’s minimum requirements.” It was recently pointed out to me that the engine manufacturer’s minimum requirements haven’t changed since 1957. I found that odd knowing that the minimum demands we place on our engines today is significantly greater then the minimum demands of the fifties.

Did you see that it’s based on the “minimum requirements?” Remember that the next time you buy a quart of store brand oil…it was also made by the company with the lowest bid.

It's no secret that an engine contains hundreds of moving parts that must be kept separate from each other by a film of oil. Whenever two parts slide or rotate, the resulting metal to metal contact can produce severe and unnecessary wear. An important function of motor oil is to establish a film of oil thick enough and strong enough to prevent metal-to-metal contact. The more oil can accomplish this the longer a piece of equipment can last.

A second important function of motor oil is to reduce friction. Friction results from the resistance of engine parts to movement against each other. To experience that right now place the palms of your hands together and rub them against each other quickly for 10 seconds. You will feel an immediate increase in palm temperature. Can you imagine how quickly the moving parts in your engine would heat up and fuse together if you didn’t have good lubrication?

Motor oils are required to do more than provide a lubricating film and reduce friction. A third important function is to act as a coolant and help remove the heat generated by the engine. The engines heat again comes from friction produced by closely fitted engine parts such as connecting rods and main bearings, camshafts, and piston rings. Though most people think that the radiator fluid is responsible for cooling the engine it actually only handles about 60% of that task. The engines oil handles the other 40%. This presents a good case for always keeping your oil at the correct level as specified by the manufacturer.

The ease of starting an engine depends not only on the condition of the battery and ignition, proper fuel volatility, and fuel to air ratio but also on the flow properties of the motor oil. If the oil is too viscous or heavy or thick at starting, it will impose enough drag on the moving parts that the engine cannot be cranked fast enough to start promptly and keep running. All of our friends in the northern parts, where temperatures drop each year, have most likely experienced this from time to time. That’s why they make sure they change their engine oil to a lower viscosity before the temperatures drop. Viscosity is a measure of the oil’s resistance to flow. A lower viscosity such as a single-grade 5W can flow easier in cold temperatures than a single-grade 40W. But then once the engine finally warms up to operating temperatures the 5W is not enough protection and now your engine needs 40W. Therefore engineers designed a multi-grade blend that could function in conditions as extreme as that. You’ve seen them as 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 10W-30, and 10W-40 and so on. Here in the southern part of the US  where temperatures can be extreme on the other end of the scale you’ll find many owners using 20W-50. Be sure and always consult your owners’ manual for the recommended blend.  But then again perhaps you should make a more intelligent decision and determine what's best for your engine.

With all of the internal parts of an engine being constructed basically of metal components, motor oils are blended with other additives that help to neutralize the foreign by-products that can occur in the crankcase. Fuel that blows by the rings, moisture that never evaporates because the engine wasn't operated long enough at normal operating temperatures, and there are many more. Those by-products can be corrosive to the internal metal parts so motor oil has a blend of additives that can help resist rust and corrosion. It just seems that no one can tell you how long it can actually resist the elements.

The efficient operation of an engine depends on the motor oil to do the following:

Permit easy starting.
Lubricate engine parts and prevent wear.
Reduce friction.
Protect against rust and corrosion.
Keep engine parts clean.
Cool engine parts.
Seal combustion pressures.
Prevent foaming.
Aid in fuel economy.

Product Application and Availability:

PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment is intended for use in internal combustion engine crankcases at a minimum ratio of 1 ounce per quart of oil volume and is to be applied each time the oil is changed.  PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment is packaged in the size it is so that you can pour the entire bottle into most crankcases today without under treating. It is also suitable for use in automatic transmissions at an application rate of 1ounce per every 3 quarts of automatic transmission fluid. It is also suitable for manual transmissions, differentials, and hydraulic fluids at a ratio of 1½ ounces per every quart of oil. And in wet clutch applications found in many motorcycles use at a rate of ½ ounce per every quart of oil. PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment is compatible with mineral based and synthetic oils. At the recommended application rates, it will not affect engine oil viscosity ratings or typical engine seal materials.

Utilizing our exclusive Friction Modifier Technology, PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment works when mixed with conventional oils to form a wear reducing protective film which is capable of withstanding extreme pressures. PolyGuard-1 provides critical engine parts, such as the ring zone, cam lobes, main and rod journals, and turbochargers, with lubrication protection that far exceeds that of conventional oils. PolyGuard-1 is a carefully balanced, complete treatment package which contains anti-wear and extreme pressure additives, detergent/dispersants, viscosity index improvers, corrosion inhibitors and acid neutralizers. In independent oil analysis PolyGuard-1 significantly reduced the amount of wear generated when engine oil was used. Calculated estimates based on wear reduction (up to 70% reduction in wear particle count) suggests that the use of PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment can extend the service life of your engine.

Permits Easy Starting

Dry starts can occur in an engine within 8 minutes of it being turned off with untreated oil. When that same oil is treated with PolyGuard-1 Oil Treatment, utilizing our nanotechnology ingredients, fortifies the oil with a molecular structure that causes it to adhere to the metal surfaces until wiped off therefore virtually eliminating the chance of ever having a cold or dry-start again. This Friction Modifier Technology is beneficial in preventing dry-starts in your everyday driver as well as to prevent dry start on the family's lawn mower when you start it back up in the spring. PolyGuard-1's anti-corrosive and anti-rust properties can also help to extend your stored equipment's serviceable life.

DWG FAQ # 3

How do I care for my vehicle between DRI WASH 'n GUARD® applications?

It's EASY, All you need is two soft terry towels-a small washcloth and a hand towel. Wet the smaller one with water until it is almost dripping, then lightly run over the area to be cleaned (such as the hood). DO NOT RUB HARD. The dirt and water will not stick to the DRI WASH 'n GUARD® on the surface. Now take the dry, larger towel and lightly buff the area dry. That exclusive DRI WASH 'n GUARD® shine will come right back. Ordinarily, one wetting of a small washcloth is enough to finish an entire car.

A little common sense will help here-if your car is really dirty with caked mud, pebbles, etc. remove it from the surface with care.

DWG FAQ # 2

How is it possible to apply DRI WASH 'n GUARD® over a dirty surface?

DRI WASH 'n GUARD® contains 47 ingredients, including wetting agents, lubricants and protectants which have never been used by the car care industry.
The detergents and wetting agents in DRI WASH 'n GUARD® combine to soften and emulsify surface grime, while a specific blend of polymeroxane fluids and hydrophenolic lubricants attach a microscopic layer of exclusive PolyGuard-3® to the surface. PolyGuard-3® is an extremely rare (and expensive) substance which provides a bonded layer of protection against any remaining abrasive not broken down by the detergents and wetting agents.

DWG FAQ # 1

Exactly what is Dri-Wash 'n Guard®?

DRI WASH N GUARD® is a combination car wash, polish and protective glaze
which is applied directly to a dirty surface without the use of water,
it contains no waxes, nor is it simply a polish.

Waxes do a good job of "protecting" but often leave the paint dull.

Polishes are great at removing minor stains and blemishes,
and are much more capable of rejuvenating dull paint.
But polishes often are abrasive, and provide very little protection on the paint surface.
Paint sealants protect very well, but cannot clean or polish.
A vehicle's paint must be virtually pristine before the sealants can be applied.
DRI WASH 'n GUARD® combines the best features of waxes,
polishes and paint sealants without any of the drawbacks.

    DWG International ULTRA ION

Cleans, Seals, Polishes and Protects in One Easy Step Without Using Any Water!
As the originator of Waterless Technology, DRI WASH ‘n GUARD® since 1991 continues to DOMINATE the waterless cleaning market, while also taking a prominent place in all aspects of the auto finish maintenance and polishing arena. So, when something is changing in our industry, DWG International™ is the first to know about it.
Ford f-150 detailed with Ultra Ion by Max Detail.

So, what is changing...? The auto industry is changing ...and DWG International™ is the only company to adapt to these changes and supply you with the technology you need to take full advantage of a new phenomenon in auto paint cleaning, polishing and maintenance. Since the beginning of the year 2000, major auto manufacturers have begun changing the paint formula they use on their cars. After suspecting that something was different in the paint on newer model vehicles, we contacted the major auto manufacturers and asked about these changes. After much investigation and cooperation with the auto industry, we learned that the changes being made were to accommodate new body panel materials being used in the manufacturing process, as well as new environmental protection laws that had gone into effect.

These changes have resulted in clear coats that are stronger and more durable, yet more flexible, than before. In essence, the paint will actually flex and yield more, instead of remaining solid and polishing like marble or glass, however, these new hightech paints are more sensitive to soaps, waxes and polishes. They have a tendency to streak, and because they are more flexible, they feather-scratch very easily. Two-and-a-Half Years of Research and Development Upon learning of these changes in auto paint formulations, the DWG International™ research and development team went into action.

Nearly three years of R&D has resulted in one of the most scientifically significant advancements in Waterless Technology since the introduction of original DRI WASH ‘n GUARD®. DRI WASH ‘n GUARD® ULTRA-ION™ New Technology for a New Era in the Auto Industry Specifically designed for the 21st century paints used on cars manufactured since the year 2000, DWG ULTRA ION™ will create a deeper, richer shine on these new, more flexible clear coat finishes. Combine this superior performance on new paints with the buffing action of the new DWG Buffing Towel and you have a winning combination for even the most demanding conditions. DWG ULTRA-ION™ can be applied to dark colors in ANY naturally occurring heat from the sun. This new formulation emulsifies dirt (and especially bugs, bird droppings and tar) better than any other product, and, like DRI WASH ‘n GUARD® Classic, it works great on glass and chrome.

But there’s more! Personal consumers and your detailing customers will fall in love with the dust-repelling qualities of DWG ULTRA-ION™. DWG ULTRA-ION™ Technology Enhances Performance: Outshines and Outlasts Everything Else! You’ve probably seen the ionic air cleaners being advertised on TV by a major retail/catalog company. As one of the world’s leading air purification systems, it uses ionic technology to attract dust and organic matter and trap it inside the air cleaner. DWG ULTRA-ION™ uses this same type of technology to repel (rather than attract) dust. This exciting new ingredient formulation puts a positive charge on your vehicle’s painted surface, which causes it to actually repel dust and dirt. The dust just has a much tougher time adhering to the positive charge on your vehicle’s paint!

Two Exclusive Technologies Merge to Create One Outstanding Product! The infusion of ionic technology with our award-winning Polymer technology has created a product that far exceeds all other car care products on the market today. When applied to the technologically advanced paints being used by auto manufacturers today, nothing can outperform DWG ULTRA ION™. The new DWG ULTRA-ION™ formulation is odorless and comes in a distinctive new color. For best results, you should always use the new DWG Buffing Towel with DWG ULTRA-ION™.

Dri wash N' Guard Also Cleans Windows + Glass!

Another distinguishing feature of DRI WASH ’n GUARD® is that it's a fantastic glass cleaner and sealant. In fact, DRI WASH ’n GUARD® is capable of bonding to glass for a year or more. You'll see this for yourself each time you drive in the rain. Instead of lying in sheets on the windshield, water scatters off the glass like it's being chased. DRI WASH ’n GUARD® makes "bug removal" so much easier, too. The invisible coating works on the same principle that prevents eggs from sticking to the TEFLON surface of a frying pan. Other polishes, waxes and paint sealants are NEVER recommended for use on glass because of the oily film they leave behind. This can be hazardous under certain conditions, such as when headlights approach at night or when windshield wipers are turned on during a light rain. DRI WASH ’n GUARD® leaves NO oily residue, which makes it totally safe and highly recommended for all your glass cleaning needs.
